Those words above echoed so much in my mind when, Alexandra & myself, we went to the opening of la FIAC on wednesday evening. Lucky us, yes, minus the hour & a half queue outside of the Grand Palais. I'm not the right one to judge but I do have the impression that the common sense & the beauty of art were not that much present on that night. Of course, you have the pleasure to see a piece of Calder, a Gunther Fürg, un sublime Nicolas de Staël... But what is contemporary art today ? I am afraid I don't have the answer...
