Die Bunker

This bunker, originally built in 1942 in reinforced concrete, was used to protect travellers  from air raid attacks during the war. Later on, it was used as a vegetable storage place, mostly bananas, so it was called the Banana Bunker. Then, after the Berliner Wall fell, it was a club and a space for temporary exhibitions.
It is now the Boros Collection, 3.000 square meters dedicated to contemporary art, the private collection of Christian Boros. And believe me, it was crazy inside (pictures were not allowed sadly), the collection includes works by Anselm Reyle, Kitty Kraus among others and all my favourite pieces of Olafur Eliasson.
Freunde von Freunden made a beautiful video there & in the penthouse, it is here if you haven't seen it
