Seeing le Temps retrouvé (qui fait référence à la figure Proustienne d'un retour au calme et à la contemplation), the photography show curated by Cy Twombly showned at la Collection Lambert in Avignon, was like a big slap in my face. A slap of beauty, simplicity, efficiency. I do have the feeling that until that, I had no idea what photography was about.
If you really really want to see one of the best photography selection of the moment (Diane Arbus, Saly Mann, Hiroshi Sugimoto (!!!)...), RUN. The last 5 rooms dedicated to Twombly's photographs are just insanely beautiful ou terriblement exaltantes, ça dépend du point de vue.
