The Melancholy of Objects

"The Melancholy of Objects" is a series of portraits of the objects that Guy Batey found lost or discarded on the streets of Southwark in south-east London.
The series is composed of 24 pictures. Each is composed with very much attention and leads to a picture full of strength but delicately exposed to the eye. I really like the vintage touch of the camera. And it is important to know that these common objects have been accidentally found like this on the streets and not deliberately planted. A kind of poetry of the real.
So rare.
